I created this piece after seeing a documentary on whales… I first made an acrylic painting, which I later photographed and worked on digitally.
"The blue whale's wave" emerges from the deep, builds into a luminous crest that reveals a whale-like silhouette beneath the surface. The piece shows motion and light seeping down, flow following delicate lines, the ocean shifting between mass and form. What do you see first: the animal or the wave? Tell me where you’d hang it! I imagine it bringing a quiet, oceanic calm to a living room or study.
